Please telephone our parish administrator on 01274 606377 with all enquiries about weddings. If you would like to book a wedding in one of our three churches: St Andrew's Oakenshaw, St Mary's Wyke and Holy Trinity Low Moor, we will arrange for you to meet with a clergy member to discuss the date you require and confirm that you are eligible.  These meetings are usually held on an evening at one of the vicarages.

Question:- Am I eligible to be married in the Parish Church?

One of you will need to qualify using one of these criteria:-

• either be resident in the Parish of South Bradford,
• or be on our electoral roll,
• or have been baptised in this parish,
• or have been prepared for confirmation in this parish,
• or have at any time lived in this parish for 6 months or more,
• or have any time gone to normal church services in this parish for at least 6 months,
• or one of your parents has lived in the parish for at least 6 months,
• or one of your parents has regularly gone to normal church services in the parish for at least 6 months,

Question:- Do I have to believe in God?

No - although we do hope that the church means a little more to you than just being a pretty building.

Question:-What if one of us is divorced?

We are permitted to remarry divorcees in many circumstances so it may be worth your while enquiring further

Question:- What will it cost?

The fees for a church wedding in this parish are currently under review, please would you contact the parish office on 01274 606377 for up to date information . There are also some optional extras like 'pew end flowers' at two of our churches.  The fees are usually increased in line with inflation each year.
